Clare Coombes – Definitions

Watercolor sketch of a young woman in a short red coat and black trousers walking away down an empty, tree-lined street, the Royal Liver Building on her right.

There have been many covers on the market this past few years with a female walking away from the camera, often in snow, wearing a red jacket but this pen and ink style illustration set in Liverpool takes that up a notch and would definitely make me stop and read the synopsis. Beautifully done and one that would definitely look great framed and on the wall.

  1. I’m not surprised to find that the cover artist studied fashion design, this reminds me of sketches from that world. Also of Paris!
